I felt i was playing pretty well to be honest in this comp. It was my birthda so i thought "god" might of helped me through to win as a birthday present! lol.

My first round match i played fantastic.... I broke dry and he dished..... then he broke and dished for 2-0. Then i started potting balls off the break and reckon there was at least 4-5 good total dishes in that match from me.

My second match was ALOT harder. I wasnt playing aswell as i was in the first match and my breaks started turning up dry alot... Andy Coltart played very well and it was a close match the whole way through. I had a chance to go 6-5 up but missed a sitter of a black. (Not going to make excuses but it didnt help Rico shouting as loud as he could on my shot) (obviuously not on purpose) So i went 6-5 down and then made a good dish to come back to 6-6. Then the last frame went quite tippy tappy and thankfully i managed to pull through 7-6 with a couple good last pots. I have alot of respect for Andy and think he's a good player.

The final was against adrian.... I dont see why he posted "i had to rush through the final" a couple posts above? I made sure i played fast for him to be able to go out and enjoy himself. But to be honest i did break and dish and dish most of my frames i won. The final took no longer then 20-30 minutes maximum. But to be honest... I havnt seen adrian play aswell as that against me before as he pulled out two great finishes from no mans land!

But it was a well run comp and i enjoyed it.

These type of comps are worth me coming up from chelmsford and im assuming the same goes for a few other people with the gauraunteed prize money etc etc.

Calum.
