The Mr Pools Summer Series returns in June, and this time it is bigger..!! We will be playing two days a week, every Monday & Friday starting on 8th June.

Entry to each competition is only £3 and half the entry money is paid out to the winner of each event, who also qualifies for the Grand Final. .

Entry is limited to 16 players per event, there is no advanced entry players can only enter on the night between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on a Monday or 7.00pm and 8.00pm on a Friday.

Each match is best of 7, world rules. Ranking points are given for playing in each event, so the more that a player enters the more chance they have of building up enough points to get to the event final. .

The event on a Monday is separate from the event on a Friday until the final stages.

Players can enter as many events as they want until they win one, once qualified they are barred from the remaining events on that day. So if you qualify on a Monday you cannot enter anymore Monday events, but you still can enter the Friday event until you win one of those! The 12 winners will be joined in the event final by the 4 highest ranked players who haven’t qualified. There is a Monday Final and a Friday Final. Each of these finals is played down to the last 4 giving us a total of 8 players for the Grand Final. If a player reaches the last 4 on the Monday Final and they are in the Friday Final then they must withdraw from that event. .

Depending on entry, we will add cash to the prize fund for the Grand Final. The amount is on a sliding scale (see the table below). This could be up to a total of £1440, we are starting the ball rolling with a guaranteed £360. The more players enter, the better value the event becomes, with a higher percentage of table money finding it’s way into the prize pot! .

Once a player has qualified for both finals and cannot enter the remaining events, it is in their interest to round up players to ensure the maximum turnout for each event. With 16 runners for each event, the Grand Final Winner will pick up £576 (plus 50% of entry fees, up to £24 if they win an event), not bad for a £3 entry fee! .

Number of players in each event, prize fund increases by: .

5 £5.00
6 £8.00

Players split the costs of tables each round, but as you can see from the format above, this cash contributes to the prize fund.   We did consider putting this on freeplay, but by having players pay for tables, you only pay more as you win (and you do get a game of pool for your 60p), therefore we can keep the cost of entry fees down.

Last two chances to qualify this coming Monday and Friday.
