| Call it making a rod for our own backs, but in our wisdom we
decided that holding a pairs event played to old English
Pool Association rules might be a quirky idea. Yes, we
figured that it might go on rather a long time but we were
prepared to bed down for the night if the Friday competition
stalwarts were prepared to play.
In the final, Hynds and Smith secured their customary first
frame before Cass and Daniels answered them with two frames
on the bounce. Jeff and Kev did manage to bring the scores
back to level but they weren’t able to stay there as Chris
and Ian headed off to the winning line and cashpot, securing
another two frames to leave the scores at (4-2). |
